Christmas Dance Showcase

Brooklyn and Marissa had their christmas dance showcase the other day and I can't believe how much they know. We put them in Ultimate Dance this year and it is definitely worth it. They have learned more in the past 4 months than Brooklyn learned in 2 years at the other class. They did a cute little christmas dance. I am so proud of them.

New Addition to our Family

This is Taylor Lyn Jackson. She was born on November 30. She weighed 8 lb 8 oz and 18 inches long. We are so happy to have her in our lives.

Brooklyn started Preschool

Brooklyn was so excited to start preschool yesterday. She is in an afternoon class so all morning she was wanting to go. Here is a picture of her and her teacher, Miss Carrie. Then a picture of her and her friend Briley, they look so cute. She had a lot of fun and can't wait until Friday to go back.

Marissa started Playgroup

Marissa was so excited to start playgroup this week. She had to have a backpack like Brooklyn and as you can see she likes to show it off. She had so much fun.

Park City

So for labor day we went to Park City like we do every year. It was so much fun, but I can 't show you pictures because we forgot our camera. I need to get copies from everyone that went. We went up saturday morning and meet Bret's sister and her family. We all stayed in a room together. Then my aunt has a condo up there that they get every labor day so her family was there and my mom stayed there. The first day we let the kids play on the inflatable slides and of course they had a blast. Then we were finally able to get into our condo. We made some dinner and then went swimming. The next day the girls went shopping, trying to find those good deals. I ended up finding a lot for the baby and a few things for the girls. Then we went to the alpine slide. This year I wasn't able to go so Bret took Marissa with him and my mom took Brooklyn with her. They had so much fun on it. Then we just went back and swam the rest of the night. The next day we got up and came home. I love going up there every year and the best part about it is that it only takes 45 minutes to get home so you aren't to tired to unpack when you get home. I do have this picture the day we got home I put the girls in there nightgowns at 7:00 so we could watch a movie and after about 15 minutes Brooklyn was out. I guess she just had to much fun up there.

Dance

Brooklyn and Marissa started dance last Thursday and were so excited. We decided to try Ultimate Dance this year. I am so glad we did, she taught them more after one class than what Brooklyn had learned in two years. They are in different groups this year so it is good for Marissa to meet new friends and be on her own.

24th of July

On the 24th of July every year we go to Spanish Fork to the parade. The girls always enjoy it, as you can see they wouldn't even look at me for a picture.

Then we go to the carnival to let them ride some rides. Here is just a couple of cute pictures we got of them. They always have so much fun going on the rides, even though it cost a fortune. That evening Bret and I always go to the rodeo and the girls hang out at grandma's. For some reason I didn't take pictures this year at the rodeo.

The Ultrasound!

So we went in to the doctors on Monday to find out what we are having. It turns out we aren't fit to raise boys right now. So it is a girl! It will be fun but scary when they are all teenagers! Everything looks good though.

What we have been up to!

This has been our past month. It has been a lot of fun this summer for us. Now we don't have much to do so it is time to rest before preschool starts for the year.

Lake Powell

So my pictures uploaded from the end of the trip to the beginning and I don't want to reload them. This trip we went down with Bret's team from work and took the National Guard pontoon boat.
I have to tell you about Brooklyn's lucky hat. She was wearing the hat the first day we went out on the boat and about 15 minutes in it blew off her head. She asked her dad to go back but he wouldn't because it probably had already sank. So after 10 minutes of crying we calmed her down by telling her we would find it on the way back and if we couldn't find it we would go get a new hat. So the next day we had decided to go to a beach just across from the docks and have a barbecue. We had been there for a good 4 hours and Bret went to pick up some garabage from the lake and picked up the hat. Brooklyn was so excited! We were a good 6-7 miles away from were we lost it the day before. So that is her lucky hat.

These pictures are at the beach from the second day out. Brooklyn liked to build castles in the sand. Marissa liked playing in the water. They had fun on one of the tubes that you pull behind a boat.

This is the first day we went out to the lake. We started on the lake at about 8:30 in the morning and got back about 5:30. It was a very long day as you can see the girls both took naps on the way to rainbow bridge. It was a lot of fun. The girls were very good on the boat, I was worried they would get bored and want to get off. Once we got to rainbow bridge you have to walk a little ways to get to it but we just made it to where you could see it and called it good since the girls were so tired.

This was on the bridge that goes across the dam. The girls thought it was so cool.

Happy 4th of July

Every 4th of July we go camping up to Electric lake. It has been a tradition with Bret's family and friends. There is always at least 10 trailers so it is a lot of fun for the kids because there is a lot of friends to play with. On the 4th we go down the canyon to Mtn. Pleasant and watch a wonderful firework show. This year Brooklyn was so funny as soon as the fireworks started she giggled and didn't stop till they were over. Marissa just kicked her feet and pointed at the ones she really liked. It was a fun trip!

Disney World

Here are a few pictures from when Bret and I went to Disney World. We went with Bret's work so we didn't take the girls. I wish we would of found the money to take them since I couldn't go on that many rides. I could of at least took them on rides. I did go on a few and we went to Cocoa Beach one day so that was fun. We went to the Blizzard Bay waterpark and it was alot of fun. I was ready to come home by the end of the trip because of the humidity.

Brooklyn got Glasses

So I took Brooklyn in for her 4 year old check up and they did a vision test with her. They told me to take her to optomologist to have her eyes checked. So today she came home with glasses. She seems to like them but doesn't want to keep them on. She looks pretty cute though.

Preschool Graduation

I can't believe that the school year is over! Brooklyn graduated from preschool.

They did a cute little program to show us some of the things they have learned throughout the year.

At the end her teacher gave them each a diploma and a book that she put together to show their improvement throughout the year. This is Brooklyn's first page in her book. It shows the improvement that she has done with her name from the first month of school to the last month. When she opened it she was so mad because someone had scribbled all over her book. She kept looking at her teacher to see if she had made a mistake and given her someone else's. Then she started blaming it on the other kids. We tried to explain it to her but she wasn't going for it. It was so funny.

I can't believe my oldest is 4. Time goes by to fast. Brooklyn had a great birthday with all her friends. Thanks to everyone for coming and for the gifts, she loves them all.

Farm Animals

Dance Competition at Lagoon

They where so cute! They all did so good for only being 2-4 years old.

When we got there it was pouring. Thankfully we had an umbrella that we got from our Jazz game to keep the girls dry. They were good sports with all the bad weather.

Dancing Princess's

So Marissa has been going in Brooklyn's dance class the last month and loves it. The teacher told me to let her come in one week because she always wants to stay and has been doing the tumbling part of it. She is actually going to perform with them. They look so cute doing their dances together.

I can't believe my baby is 2. I feel like we were just going to the hospital yesterday to have her. She has gotten so big and acts like she is 4. She definitely has a good teacher. She does everything Brooklyn does. She had a great Birthday party, as you can see. Thanks to everyone for coming and for the gifts.

So I haven't posted anything forever! I was so busy with my school and just being a mother that hadn't done it for awhile. I figured after I was done with finals I could update everything but then I was busy with Christmas. So I figured I better do it before I go back to school.

Salt Lake Temple

So it has been a while since I have blogged. We are just so busy between preschool, dance, my school, and work. We did finally find some time to go up to the temple. Brooklyn has been asking for a couple of weeks to go to the temple. She obsessed with the temples lately. We go pass the Oquirrh Mountain Temple ( the one up by daybreak in west jordan) on our way to daycare. She ask to go to the castle temple (Salt Lake Temple) since the other is under construction still. The girls loved it there. Brooklyn kept on asking to go in and we kept trying to explain to her that she couldn't. She was so sad.

Brooklyn's First Day of Preschool

Brooklyn started Preshool yesterday. She has been so excited to go. Of course I cried after I dropped her off. We walked up to the door and I asked if she wanted me to take her in and she said no and bye. Here is just a few pictures.

Park City

Every Labor Day weekend we go to Park City. My Aunt has a condo up there and we all stay in it. This year we decided to get our own room so we could have our own space.
This is us standing in line to get on the ski lift so we could go on the Alpine Slide.

This is us trying to entertain the kids going up. They wouldn't let anyone sit on laps so it was pretty scary taking Marissa up it. She kept trying to stand up. We had to sing the whole way up to keep her somewhat calm.

These are after we went down. They both loved it and wanted to go again.

This was at the pool. My kids are fish, they love the water and would stay in the pool all day if I would let them.

Vivian Park

This is the first time that I have been to vivian park, it was a lot of fun for the kids. Brooklyn had to the bathroom while we were there and was scaried to because they had the big hole so she asked if she could potty on the grass. It was so cute. After going to the restroom a couple of times she finally went.

Lagoon

This is Brooklyn on the Tidal Wave. She loved it! She wanted to go on all the big rollercoasters but was 3 inches to short. So hopefully next year.

Swimming

We pulled out our swimming pool and slip and slides and had a little party. Some of the neighborhood friends came and played. Brooklyn and Marissa love the water. They would go swimming everyday if I would let them.

Chores

So we started having Brooklyn do little chores like help make her bed and help with the dishes. She loves doing it. Here she is making her bed for the first time. I need some ideas so help me out. I want to reward her somehow at the end of the week, do you have any ideas.

Popsicle

The other day Marissa brought me a popsicle to eat and I told her no because it was almost lunch time. So I went and put the popsicle back in the freeze and went in the other room. Marissa went back to the freezer and found the chocolate bars that have the foil raper so she was able to open it and eat it. She was loving it! I suggest that you don't get a frige with the freeze on the bottom if you have little ones. She is always in it getting popsicles and ice.

Ward Summer Party

The kids got to do a parade. We decorated the wagon with all of the old birthday decorations. It was fun.

It was a lot of fun. We had breakfast and got to play.

Day at Seven Peaks

The girls loved seven peaks. They both went on the tube slides and went on all the little kids slides by theirselves. Brooklyn was putting her head underwater and Marissa was watching and decided to do it. It was definitely worth the cost. They really enjoyed it.

Brooklyn's swimming lessons

This is Brooklyn's last day at swimming lessons. This is the second year we have done swimming lessons at the Lehi Legacy Center. Last year was a parent and child class, it was a lot of fun. She did really good this year. She will go under the water by herself and can float with a little help.

This is that night at the rodeo. We tried taking Brooklyn this year and she enjoyed the horses and bucking bulls.

On the 4th we go to Mount Pleasent to watcha the fireworks. One of the friends we go camping with live across the street from where they do the fireworks. It is the best firework show I have ever seen. The girls had fun doing sparklers.

We go camping every 4th of July up Fairview Canyon. It is so much fun. We go with alot of family and friends, so it ends up being a huge group of us.

Day at the Zoo

Bahama trip

This was are day at sea. It was our seventh anniversary. We had a lot of fun. It was are first cruise and we would recommend a cruise to anyone. We are already planning our next.

This was once we got to the Bahamas. The Bahamas wasn't as pretty as I thought it might be. It was kind of dirty. The beach was pretty. You could see through the water.

This is in Miami before we got on the ship. We went to South Beach and highly recommend it to anyone. It was so pretty there and the water was perfect temperature.

Marissa and her Baby

Brooklyn's Dance Recital

Here is our ballerina. This is Brooklyn at her dance recital in May. They did a competition at Lagoon and got 1st place. We were so proud of her. She is sad that she doesn't get to go during the summer.
